MANILA, Philippines -- The Bureau of Immigration is working to deport an American wanted in the United States for alleged child molestation and pornography.
Immigration Commissioner Marcelino Libanan ordered the arrest of Frederick Louis Dipasquale, 68, at his house in Sasa, Davao City, on Thursday after the US embassy sought the Bureau of Immigration’s help in locating him.
Dipasquale was found after Davao City police placed him under surveillance for taking photographs of young girls in a city park.
“We will deport him to the US as soon as our board of commissioners issues the order for his summary deportation,” said Libanas, adding that Dipasquale would be blacklisted from the country.
Records showed that the American had been overstaying his 21-day tourist visa since May 2005.
According to the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, Dipasquale is facing criminal charges in the US for allegedly sexually molesting a neighbor’s child and for being caught with child pornography in his personal computer.
