(UPDATE) 2 houses gutted in Parañaque fire

MANILA, Philippines -- Fire struck a residential area in San Antonio Valley 10 in Parañaque City Tuesday afternoon, hours after a blaze hit Caloocan City.
Superintendent Sofia Mendoza, district fire marshal, said the fire began at around 3:30 p.m. on San Clemente St., SAV 10 which is near the City Hall.
Two houses on San Clemente and San Gabriel Sts., owned by a certain Mrs. Encarnacion and a Mrs Aquino, were gutted by the blaze, which was put out at 4:52 p.m.
Mendoza said no one reported injured in the fire.
Investigators were looking into a report that a candle started the fire.
