MANILA -- Water concessionaire Maynilad Water Services Inc. has advised Manila and Quezon City residents to conserve water as some areas would have no water supply for 16 hours on Saturday, April 5.
The utility firm said the water cut-off, to start at 1 a.m. until 5 p.m., was due to repair works in the two cities' various water lines.
In Manila, affected areas are those bounded by Dimasalang, Andalucia, España, Macaraig and Blumetritt, Antipolo, Lepanto, Matimyas, Sto. Tomas and Josefina III Streets in Sampaloc; Andalucia, Mayhaligue, Rizal Avenue, North Cemetery down to Dimasalang, E. Remigio, Quezon Boulevard, C.M. Recto in Sta. Cruz; Estero dela Reina, Dagupan Extension and portion of Solis in Tondo.
In Quezon City, affected areas are along España including United Doctors Medical Center Hospital.
Meanwhile, areas bounded by Lepanto, Matimyas, Sto. Tomas, Fajardo, Lealtad and Antipolo Streets in Manila; and areas bounded by Sto. Tomas, E. Rodriguez, Matimyas and Josefina III in Quezon City will experience low pressure to no water supply.
The water company advised affected customers to store water good for the duration of the service interruption. They may also call Maynilad Water Hotline 1626 or 4362000, or text Maynilad 2898.
