MANILA, Philippines -- The Court of Appeals was evacuated Monday after it received a bomb threat from an unidentified male caller.
As of posting time, elements of the Manila Police District’s explosive operations division, are combing the court premises for explosives.
Emma Fantuan, trunkline operator, said she received the call between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. She quoted the unidentified caller as saying,
“Court of Appeals ba ito? Ilang minuto na lang sasabog na ito [Is this the Court of Appeals? In a few minutes it will explode].”
A writ of amparo hearing on the case of Elizabeth Principe, the missing consultant of the National Democratic Front (NDF), was postponed as a result of the threat.
