MANILA, Philippines -- The vehicle of Quezon City Representative Matthias “Matt” Defensor Jr. was stolen while it was parked in front of his house in Quezon City, police said.
Defensor's Toyota Fortuner with plate number ZLE-240 was taken from his home at La Vista Subdivision between 12 midnight to 5 a.m. Wednesday, said Senior Superintendent Magtanggol Gatdula, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) chief, who corrected his earlier information that the vehicle was owned by the solon’s son Michael, a former congressman and Cabinet secretary.
Members of the QCPD's anti-carnapping division has launched An operation to recover the vehicle, said Gatdula.
