MAKATI City, Philippines -- Effective collaboration, time-saver workflows and out-of-the box creativity are the innovation drivers of the new Adobe, an executive said.

?For many years, we see designers and developers work separately on their content,? said Ashley Wearne, managing director of Adobe Systems Pte Ltd for Southeast Asia, referring to Adobe Creative Suite 4.

?The Adobe Creative Suite 4 aims to bring together these people working on different content and step up creativity and efficiency,? the executive said.

The new suite will drive a new trend in content creation, said Wearne.

Raj Minhas, business development manager, Adobe Creative Solutions for Asia, said the Philippines is one of Adobe?s key markets in Asia ever since it started rolling out Creative Suite 1, 2 and 3.

The company is optimistic for the local market?s uptake of the new suite release. At present, Adobe has talked with five big local clients.

Minjas said they are also receiving a lot of queries from print media, animation and graphic designs for the release of the new suite.

Minhas said a notable trend in the Asia Pacific market is the active participation of users to battle piracy.

?We have a compliance team in Singapore to ensure legal use of our product in the region. If we identify a company using our software but they did not get it from us, we write them letters of inquiry and pursue the matter politely,? he said.

In terms of how content is packaged, he said the new tools can work with different multimedia standards, be it fixed or mobile. With the increasing use of Web 2.0 applications, he said content developers can also drive interactivity and allow further collaboration after the content is created.

Nelson John, consultant of technical solutions group, enumerated the new features in the design suite including 3D animation for flash animation, voice-to-text transcription and importing of video with timelines and cross-platform interoperability in the production floor.

John said that in addition to these features, the Creative Suite 4 will allow designers to work much better and faster via cross-platform interoperability of the 16 programs included in the suite.

This would enable developers and designers to understand the process of the other?s team.

For example, the availability of code and graphic user interface for webpage creation in the Web Premium technology can allow more streamlined collaboration between programmers and Web developers, given that they can work with code and images simultaneously.

?We aim to enable users to go beyond what they can do,? said John.

Released worldwide last month, the Creative Suite is launched locally October 8 and is targeted at print publishing, web development, and video editing. Emerging creative markets include animation and graphic design.
