MANILA, Philippines -- Yahoo! is searching for a lone Filipino developer to participate in its annual developer conference in Silicon Valley next month.
Local Yahoo! executives made the announcement during a recent networking event attended by software developers.
Yahoo! is sponsoring the winner's trip to Yahoo! Open Hack Day to be held on September 12-13 at the company's headquarters in Sunnyvale, California.
Yahoo!'s annual developer conference features workshops conducted by prominent companies and developers in the tech industry. Yahoo also makes it a venue for introducing the latest innovations in its core products and allows developers to design applications during the event itself.
Interested developers can email their applications to sea_ydn@yahoo-inc.com. Yahoo! has put together a team of judges to evaluate applicants, including top executives from local partners Yehey.com, Admax Network and Havoc Digital.
Yahoo! last year held a local version of Hack Day in UP Diliman in Quezon City. The company said it would conduct similar developer sessions in more colleges and universities.
