MANILA, Philippines -- IBM's Manila delivery center will provide human resources (HR) work for pharmaceutical firm Bristol-Myers Squibb as part of a 10-year $324 million outsourcing deal between the two companies.
In a statement, IBM said it will provide compensation, benefits, recruiting, learning, payroll administration, call center support and related IT systems services to Bristol-Myers Squibb.
These services will support Bristol-Myers Squibb's operations in the United States, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Belgium, as well as limited support to 40 of its additional country locations in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.
IBM's HR and Finance and Administration (F&A) center in Manila will provide these services, according to IBM's announcement.
Additionally, IBM will implement an SAP solution and integrate the pharmaceutical firm's global workforce data into one portal that can be accessed by employees, managers and HR professionals around the world.
IBM employs around 7,000 workers in the Philippines, bulk of which are under its BPO and call center businesses.
IBM is also providing outsourced HR services to manufacturing giant Procter and Gamble from out of its delivery centers in the Philippines, supporting the latter's global workforce.
