Binay: 3 candidates front-runners for my vice

Vice President Jejomar Binay on Monday said Senators Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Gregorio Honasan were among three vice presidential running mates he was considering.

Binay, in a television interview, did not want to reveal the third candidate, saying: “If I tell you, those who are aspiring (to be his running mate) might get mad at me.”

Binay said the three potential candidates he was considering were male.

Binay, who is running under the United Nationalist Alliance party, asked the media to be patient and his camp would make the announcement very soon.

The latest Social Weather Stations survey on the “three best leaders” to succeed President Aquino showed Binay running behind Sen. Grace Poe and now behind even former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas.
