HANESIN Prince Antony and Dan Marnel Villarico made it to the roster of the Cebu Queen City United (CQCU), the first Cebu team to see action in the United Football League.

This after both former members of the Abellana National School (ANS) Pomeroy passed the tryouts last weekend at the University of San Carlos (USC) Technological Center.

Antony is also currently a member of the USC squad which recently clinched the 2011 collegiate title of the football championships of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc.

As part of their training, the CQCU will be fielding two teams to the Aboitiz Cup.

Because the team is newly formed, Ceniza said some of their former members and even the new ones are already pledged to other teams also seeing action in the Aboitiz Cup.

Ceniza said they would have to meet and come up with a lineup within the week.

Some 18 members of the CQCU have been retained while there are seven incoming members including Antony and Villarico.  CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
