NDRRMC on red alert, more prepared for ‘Quiel’
MANILA, Philippines – The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council will remain on red alert in anticipation of Tropical Storm “Quiel”, an official said Friday.
Executive Director Benito Ramos admitted that there weren’t enough search and rescue teams at the height of Typhoon “Pedring’s” onslaught but were now more ready for “Quiel”.
He added that inter-agency committees met up Thursday to discuss preparations.
