Retired general Jose Ramiscal, 3 others convicted of graft

MANILA, Philippines – The Sandiganbayan convicted retired general Jose Ramiscal of the AFP Retirement, Separation and Benefit System and three others of graft charges stemming from their purchase of an overpriced lot in Batangas in 1997.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines paid P1.53 million for a lot worth only P 227,000, the court was told.

Convicted along with Ramiscal were lawyers Meinrado Bello, Manuel Se Satuito and Captain Perfecto Quilicot Jr.
