Morales: Let’s help this administration eradicate corruption

In her message to Filipinos before she retires, Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales urged the public to help the Duterte administration eradicate corruption within the government.

Morales stressed that persons who have knowledge of any wrongdoing of any public official should not be cowed by fear.

“Be vigilant. Don’t be cowed by fear. Let’s help this administration eradicate corruption,” the outgoing Ombudsman said in an interview over CNN Philippines.

“If you are cowed by fear, and you refuse to talk or to complain about any irregularity, about any wrongdoing by any public official in conspiracy with a private official, you will get what you deserve,” she said.

Morales is set to leave her office when she retires in July.      /kga
