2 killed, 2 hurt in Zamboanga del Sur road mishap

PAGADIAN CITY – Two persons were killed while two others were hurt in a road accident along the Zamboanga del Sur national highway in Barangay Paglaum in Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur on Saturday evening, police said Sunday.

Police Officer 2 Merlie Villamor, the investigator of the case, said a Ford Ranger, driven by businessman Raul Famor of this city, bumped the rear of the Honda XRM 110 motorcycle driven by Anthony Araya Daulong around 9:20 p.m.

Daulong and his wife, Jhoane, died while their children, nine-year-old Trixie and seven-year-old John Kenneth, were injured as the motorcycle was also dragged by the pickup truck.

Famor is now under the custody of the Dumalinao police. He will be charged with multiple homicide and frustrated homicide arising from reckless imprudence. /ee
