Rizal village councilor yields hand grenade

SAN PEDRO CITY – A village councilor in Teresa town in Rizal province was arrested early on Saturday after authorities found a hand grenade in his possession.

Donato Francisco, a councilor in Barangay (village) Bagumbayan, was arrested before 7 a.m., a report from the Calabarzon police said.

The report said the police were armed with a warrant when they searched Francisco’s house.

Investigation was still ongoing as of posting time. MARICAR CINCO
