Drug suspect killed, cop hurt in Cavite buy-bust
SAN PEDRO CITY – An illegal drug suspect was killed in a shootout with policemen in Noveleta town in Cavite province early Friday.
Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, chief of the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon police, said police conducted a buy-bust that targeted the suspect identified only as “Natoy” around 1:30 a.m. in Barangay (village) San Rafael 4.
Likely sensing that he was transacting with government agents, the suspect drew his gun and fired at operatives. The suspect shot a police officer in the leg.

Police fired back and instantly killed the suspect.
According to police, they recovered a sachet of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P300 from the scene. /kga
