2 suspected drug pushers killed in Laguna buy-bust

SAN PEDRO CITY – Two suspected illegal drug pushers were killed in a buy-bust operation in Calamba City, Laguna early Friday.

In a report, Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, head of the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon (Calabarzon) police, said anti-narcotics operatives conducted a buy-bust operation around 12:35 a.m. inside Pamana Subdivision in Barangay (village) Bucal.

Suspect Raymond Angeles and another, identified only by his alias “Anjo,” suddenly started shooting at the undercover operatives during the transaction. An exchange of gunfire between the suspects and police ensued, and eventually, the suspects were killed.

Recovered from each of the two suspects were a .38 caliber gun and 13 sachets of suspected shabu or crystal meth.     /kga
