Former and present senators who have experienced working with the late former Senate President Edgar Angara honored his memory, life and achievements as they took turns in delivering their eulogies during the necrological service held at the Senate.
Among those who delivered their eulogies were former Senator and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada and former Senator and President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Former Senator Pia Cayetano honored Angara’s interest for Spanish culture and for football.
In his eulogy, former Senator Aquilino Pimentel honored Angara for his dedication to advance the cause of education and knowledge sharing.
“I guess Ed wanted our citizens to realize that to extricate themselves from the clutches of poverty they must have access to education.” Said Pimentel in his tribute. /muf
