Couple arrested in Marikina anti-drug ops

The Marikina City Police Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a couple for selling illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation held Wednesday.

The suspects, identified as Mary Greg Batidor and Maria Esmeralda Bae, were arrested at 57 Spring Street in Concepcion Uno, according to Supt. Roger Quesada chie of the Marikina City Police Station.

Officers seized from the suspects four plastic sachets containing suspected crystal meth or shabu in a bag.

They also recovered the marked money used to buy the illegal drugs.

Batidor and Bae were brought to the Eastern Police District Crime and Laboratory for drug testing and for the laboratory examination of the evidence.

A complaint will be filed against the couple for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (Republic Act No. 9165). /atm
