4 men arrested for selling drugs in Navotas market

At least P25,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) was seized from two alleged drug pushers during separate buy-bust operations in Caloocan City on Monday night.

Meanwhile, four men were arrested in Navotas City after the police allegedly caught them selling drugs at a public market.

In Barangay 188, Caloocan City, Rakim Basher and Abdulkhair Pumbaya will face charges of violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 after they were caught in possession of seven and six sachets of shabu, respectively.

Both were targeted after residents identified them as narcotics suppliers in the area, said Senior Insp. Allan Hernandez, Caloocan drug enforcement unit chief.

In Barangay North Bay Boulevard North, Romeo Villarus, June Culanag, Jefferson Leano and Noli David were arrested at Market 3 after policemen caught them with five sachets of shabu.

Of the four, only Leano was on the police’s watchlist, according to Senior Insp. Mark Flores of the Navotas police. —Krixia Subingsubing
