Bukidnon village chief, 2 sons held for guns

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Police in Bukidnon arrested a village chief and several other individuals, including two of her sons, during an early morning raid in Barangay Kinawe in Libona town, Bukidnon province.

But three government operatives were injured in an alleged shoot-out that erupted as police, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) members and soldiers from the Army’s Task Force Oro swooped down on at least four houses owned by Kinawe village chair Cherry Barros in Libona.

A report from the Northern Mindanao Police Office said Barros and several others were arrested during the raid.
