Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez on Wednesday said that the drop in his net satisfaction rating was a sign that Filipinos had yet to feel the impact of new legislation under his leadership and a “challenge for us to do our work.”

The Social Weather Stations’ first-quarter survey showed that Alvarez’ net satisfaction rating fell to plus 1, from plus 14 in December last year.

“I believe that the 17th Congress has done its job in passing laws that respond to the needs of our people… The SWS survey result, however, shows many of our people have yet to feel the impact of these new laws,” he said. — DJ YAP
