5 nabbed in Laguna, Batangas buy-bust ops

SAN PEDRO CITY — The police arrested five people in separate antidrug operations in Laguna and Batangas provinces early Monday.

A police report said John Mark Alcalde was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay District 10 in Balayan town in Batangas at about 4 a.m. Alcalde reportedly sold two sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) to undercover policemen.

Still in Batangas, suspects Mylene Secondez and Mary Jane Amigleo were arrested in Barangay Lumbangan, Nasugbu, in an operation past midnight Monday. The suspects yielded four sachets of shabu during the operation.

In Laguna, police arrested Carol Mariano and Jet Escobel in Barangay Langkiwa, Biñan City, at about 12:30 a.m. The police recovered ten sachets of suspected shabu worth P14,000 from the suspects. /cbb
