Security tightened at Pasay RTC 112

MANILA, Philippines – Pasay City police have tightened security at the Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 112 where the case of electoral sabotage filed against former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was set to be heard Monday, a 990AM report said.

Some 50 officers have spread out inside and outside the courtroom to ensure security during the preliminary hearing, the report said.

Authorities said that they had enough officers in the area and that no information on threats to the hearing has been received. They have, however conducted bomb paneling operations around the premises, the report added.

The preliminary hearing was scheduled to start around 9 a.m.
