The Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Friday advised travelers to come at the airport early in light of the expected Holy Week exodus.

In anticipation of an influx of travelers, PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said the airline company is advising the public to come to the airport early, at least two to three hours before their scheduled flight departure.

PAL also advised passengers to take note of their minimum connecting time if they would transfer air terminals.

“Connecting time between Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, as well as between NAIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2; and between PAL and other airlines vary, from 45 minutes to three hours depending on origin and destination,” according to PAL.

Moreover, the airline reminded air travelers that each of them was allowed one piece carry-on baggage to be placed in the overhead bin or under the passenger seat of the aircraft cabin with a maximum weight of seven kilograms.

“A carry-on bag that exceeds the allowed weight or dimension shall be intercepted and charged an Excess Baggage Charge, if applicable,” PAL said.

In addition to the free carry-on baggage allowance, the airline said a passenger was allowed to carry on-board a maximum of two of any of the following items:

– A small handbag
– Pocket book or purse
– An overcoat, wrap
– A small camera
– Laptop with case
– A reasonable amount of reading material

“For persons with disabilities, the above shall be in addition to the assisting devices that are allowed to be carried for free,” the airline added. /jpv
