P150-K worth of shabu seized, drug suspect nabbed in Agusan del Norte

Government operatives have seized more than P100,000 worth of shabu and arrested a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Agusan del Norte, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Wednesday.

The suspect, identified as Junaid Gumama, was nabbed at a mall parking lot at Purok 13, Barangay Bayanihan, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.

PDEA Director Aaron Aquino said that the operation was conducted on March 19 by joint elements of PDEA Regional Office XIII and Butuan City Police Office-Drug Enforcement Unit.

Found in the possession of Gumama were two sachets of shabu weighing 30 grams with a street value of P150,000.

Gumama will face a complaint for violating Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for selling and having dangerous drugs. /je
