Aguirre orders probe into Manila Pavilion fire

Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II on Tuesday ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to conduct an investigation and do a case build-up on possible liability that led to the fire that razed the Manila Pavilion on March 18.

In a Department Order made public Tuesday, Aguirre said the NBI should determine possible criminal, administrative and civil liability on any agency, instrumentality or office of the government.

Aguirre also ordered the NBI to determine if there is criminal, civil and administrative liability on the owners, employees and managers of the Manila Pavilion. /jpv
