The Philippine Air Force, on the other hand, won the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) category.

The awarding was led by PNP chief Dir. Gen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

According to Dela Rosa, the SWAT Challenge – which involves firing/shooting and tactical competitions – could help improve the readiness of police and military in disaster response, and terror attacks.

“It was a showcase of skills, strength, stamina of the best of the best of the PNP and the AFP,” Dela Rosa said in his speech.

The PNP held the national SWAT Challenge on March 1 to 3 in Davao City. It was organized by the Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development (DHRDD) in cooperation with the Philippine Shooters and Match Officers Confederation (PSMOC).

The Command Group, Directorial/Personal Staff, National Support Units, police regional offices, and the five police districts of the NCRPO joined the tournament.
