LOOK: Duterte visits wake of Bulacan cop slain in drug buy-bust
President Rodrigo Duterte has paid his last respects to a Bulacan intelligence police officer, who was killed in a gun battle with drug suspects last March 11.
The Chief Executive visited the wake of SPO1 Ronaldo Legaspi in Norzagaray early Wednesday.
Special Assistant to the President Secretary Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go sent photos of Mr. Duterte’s visit to members of the media. The pictures also showed Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Dir. Gen. Ronaldo dela Rosa.
Legaspi, 47, was shot dead in a shootout with suspect Rolando Padura and his unnamed accomplices, who engaged authorities in a gun fight after realizing they were dealing with undercover policemen in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Tigbe, Norzagaray in Bulacan.
Padura was also killed in the incident while his accomplices managed to escape.
