Fire destoys houses along Puerto Galera’s White Beach
CITY OF CALAPAN – A fire completely destroyed three houses and partially damaged an undetermined number of others in a residential area in Puerto Galera’s White Beach in Oriental Mindoro province Monday afternoon.
According to a police report, the fire started from the house of a certain Belen Evangelista at around 3:30 p.m. in Barangay San Isidro.
Members of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) put the fire under control after 25 minutes, according to Senior Insp. Teofilo Awingan, chief of the Puerto Galera Municipal Police Station.

Initial investigations reveal that the fire was caused by a faulty wiring in the Evangelista residence.
No one was hurt in the fire incident. /atm
