4 busted in Quezon anti-illegal drug operations

LUCENA CITY – Police collared four individuals, including a woman believed to be a major supplier of shabu, in separate buy-busts operations in Quezon province over the weekend.

Quezon police director Sr. Supt. Rhoderick Armamento said on Monday authorities seized a total of 36.7 grams with an estimated street price of around P233,550 in anti-illegal drug operations in towns of Candelaria and Real.

Police said suspects Glen Corral Calisora, 26; and Rolando Santelises Ivuig, 38 were arrested in Real town after selling shabu to an informant and a policeman acting as poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Poblacion Uno around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. The suspects reportedly yielded shabu weighing 3.63 grams.

In a follow-up operation, police operatives arrested Amna Panggoca Abdulrahim, 40. She is the alleged supplier of the illegal drugs to Calisora and Ivuig. Police confiscated from Abdulrahim, who is based in Quiapo, Manila, one sachet of shabu weighing 28.56 grams.

Real police chief Sr. Insp. Felix Evidor Jr. said Abdularahim was arrested inside a passenger bus that came from Manila.

“We learned from Calisora and Ivuig that their supplier will be arriving to deliver new supply of the illegal drug aboard a passenger bus,” Evidor said in a phone interview on Monday.

In Candelaria town, suspect Ron Rean Hernandez, 28, was arrested after he sold shabu to a civilian agent and an undercover policeman in Barangay Malabanban Sur around 12:30 a.m. Monday. Seized from him were two sachets of shabu weighing 4.51 grams from the suspects, police said.        /kga
