5 nabbed in Laguna, Rizal drug busts

SAN PEDRO CITY – Five people were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Laguna and Rizal provinces early Wednesday.

In Laguna, suspect Marlon Ambayec was arrested in Barangay (village) United Bayanihan in this city around 2 a.m.

A report from the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police said police recovered from the suspect three sachets of suspected crystal meth (“shabu”) worth P14,000.

In the same report, Rizal police said they arrested four people also in a buy-bust operation around 12:45 a.m. in Barangay Ampid 2, San Mateo town.

The suspects were identified as Dennis Santos, Roseann Santos, Randy Verallo and a certain Saligumba. Authorities said they recovered seven sachets of suspected shabu. Maricar Cinco /lb
