Suspected drug pusher shot in leg by Ecija cops in buy-bust

TALAVERA, NUEVA ECIJA— – A suspected drug pusher was shot by police officers and was wounded in the leg during a drug buy-bust operation on Monday afternoon in Barangay Maestrang Kikay..

According to Talavera police chief Supt. Joe Neil Rojo, the suspect identified as Rolando Coro, Jr. alias Ambo, fired a cal. 38 revolver at members of a local drug enforcement team shortly after selling some P300 worth of marijuana to an undercover officer who pretended to be a buyer.

Police said Coro was brought to a hospital in Cabanatuan City for treatment. He is now detained at the Talavera Police headquarters.  /muf
