Couple nabbed in Quezon buy-bust

LUCENA CITY-A couple on the local drug watch list, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Infanta town in Quezon province on Thursday night, police said Friday.

Quezon police director Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento said Jay-R Coralde, 31, and his spouse, Emeryn, 34, were collared by drug enforcement unit members after the two sold a sachet of shabu or crystal meth to an undercover policeman in Barangay Comon around 9:40 p.m.

Seized from the couple were three sachets of shabu worth P925 and the P500 marked money used in the illegal drug transaction.

Chief Inspector Lowell Atienza said the Coralde couple was number seven in the local drug watch list.

“They were newly identified drug pushers in the village,” Atienza said in a phone interview.
