/ 03:44 PM February 08, 2018

ILIGAN CITY-A farmer was shot dead for still unknown reasons in Ganassi, Lanao del Sur, the police said Thursday.

Senior Inspector Jemar Delos Santos, spokesperson of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) police, said Omar Marohomsalic alias Safra Male, 45, was shot dead on Wednesday afternoon in Barangay Gadongan.

The victim’s family, he said, identified the suspect as Dialanie Bongaros alias Jack, 28, jobless, single, and also a resident of the said village.

He said the local police failed to arrest the suspect, who had fled to the town’s hinterland.

Chief Superintendent Graciano Mijares, ARMM police director, said charges for the death of Marohomsalic were now being prepared against the suspect.
