A thief caught in the act of taking valuable wristwatches inside a Marikina City home was mauled and apprehended by his own victim.

The Marikina City Police said that suspect Christopher Toquero walked into the home of sales executive John Paul Villacarlos in Barangay San Roque at 2:20 a.m. on Thursday.

Villacarlos told police that he forgot to lock his house when he went on a stroll outside, the police report indicated. Upon returning to his house, however, Villacarlos said he was surprised to see Toquero inside his home.
