Mocha Uson receives UST alumni award for government service

Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO ) Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson was granted by the University of Santo Tomas (UST) an award for government service on Sunday.

In a Twitter post by the Varsitarian, the official publication of UST, it said that Uson was awarded the Thomasian Alumni Award for Government Service by the UST Alumni Association.

The award was given during the UST Grand Alumni Homecoming.

On her Facebook page, Uson said that it was a privilege to be given the award and offered it to her mother and the Filipinos.

“Maraming salamat po sa aking Alma Mater na UST sa pagbigay sa akin ng ‘Gawad Thomasian Alumni in Government Service’. Isa po itong karangalan. Inaalay ko po ang award na ito sa aking ina at sa ating mga ordinaryong Pilipino!” Uson said.

(Thank you so much to my alma mater, UST, for giving me the Gawad Thomasian Alumni in Government Service. This is an honor. I dedicate this award to my mother and to the Filipino people!)

Other service awardees include Senator Joel Villanueva and Health Secretary Francisco Duque.

Uson was a graduate of Medical Technology class 1998 and entered the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery the year after. /je
