An officer of the elite Special Action Force (SAF) was found at a side of the road of South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) in Muntinlupa on Wednesday morning.

Chief Insp. Normandy Sanidad, 45, was found dead, wearing civilian clothes, with a lone gunshot wound in his head at the driver’s seat of his green Toyota Corolla with plate number UAM 325.

In a report by Senior Supt. Dante Novicio, chief of the Muntinlupa City Police Station, a driver reported to the SLEX and Skyway traffic office that he saw Sanidad’s vehicle traveling northbound when it hit a fortified wall past the Susana Heights exit in Barangay Poblacion at 8:13 a.m.

Chief Insp. June Reyes, city police chief investigator, said they were still investigating the case.

“We are still probing if this is a case of suicide or he was accompanied by someone who shot him,” he said.

Reyes noted that they found no bullet entry or exit points in Sanido’s car.

Sanidad, a resident of Imus, Cavite, was assigned at the SAF Health Office in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig.
