Motorcycle ‘thief’ found dead in Batangas

SAN PEDRO CITY — A still unidentified man was found dead, with a placard suggesting that he was a drug addict and a thief, in Balete town in Batangas province on early morning Tuesday.

The victim was hogtied with packaging tape, according to an initial report from the police.

According to the police, village chief Armando Maralit of Barangay Malabanan reported to police that a cadaver was found about 6 a.m. Also found on the scene was a placard that read: “adik ako at magnanakaw ng motor wag tularan (I was an addict and a motorcycle thief, don’t emulate).”
