100th Fatima anniversary commemorated in stamps

The 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima would be celebrated this year in the Philippines with a special stamp.

The Philippine Postal Corp. (PhilPost) had released four designs of Our Lady of Fatima stamps to mark the series of Marian apparitions to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, a century ago.

The website of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines said PhilPost printed 80,000 copies of the block of four stamps, which are in P12 denominations and would be available until Dec. 13 this year at the Central Post Office and post offices around the country. —Julie M. Aurelio
