Roque to finally bare name of axed official

It’s final.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque is set to reveal on Thursday afternoon the name of the high-ranking government official President Rodrigo Duterte had fired.

“Doon po natin sa Davao i-a-anunsyo ng 1:30 today,” Roque said in an interview with radio dzBB, a day after he was told by Mr. Duterte to hold off the announcement on Wednesday.

“Eh kasi meron na pong order na ituloy na. So, kaya po iyon, itutuloy na natin at ang press briefing po natin ngayon sa Davao,” he also said.

Wait, there’s another one

In the wake of the impending public notice, Roque revealed that another government official is set to be fired by the President.

“Meron pa po. Meron pang susunod,” he disclosed. “Wala pa po, wala pang petsa. At sa susunod po diretso na ako, wala nang warning, wala nang teaser, diretso na.”

Duterte has repeatedly said that even a “whiff of corruption” would be enough reason for him to fire government officials.
