According to the Department of Health, there were  630 fireworks-related injuries with no mortality in 2016, 32 percent lower than the previous year. A total of 181 cases of injuries were from the age group of 10 to 14 years old. These were caused mostly by piccolo (31 percent) and kwitis (13 percent).  —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
