Fire hits hotel in BGC, is put out immediately

The still under construction Grand Hyatt Hotel at Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig City was hit by fire early Saturday morning, according to fire officials.

The fire was reported to have started at the 39th floor of the posh hotel on 8th Avenue, BGC.

Firefighters rushed to the scene at about 4:10 a.m. Saturday.

The Bureau of Fire Protection of Taguig City said the fire was put out at 4:25 a.m.

No one was reported harmed in the incident.

Police said that a security team was on standby and would further monitor the incident.

On August 21 this year, the hotel’s supply room at the second floor was hit by fire also in the early morning. The fire reached third alarm.
