USC-Yellow bows to BIR in USC-PTCA hoop

THE Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)-Cebu crushed USC-Yellow, 90-81, last Sunday at the start of the USC-Parents, Teachers Community Association (USC-PTCA)-2011 Christmas basketball tournament at the USC Girls High School covered court.

Yellow took an 8-point lead at the half, 46-38 behind the hot hands of Jingjing Rama and Louie Abellanosa but the younger BIR cagers unloaded a, 29-13 bomb in the third quarter ignited by power-forward Cris Litorja and former UV Lancer Jerson Espinosa to erect a, 67-59, lead going to the fourth quarter where it never relinquished the lead.

Litorja and Jerson Espina had 25 and 17 points, respectively for BIR while former UC Webmaster Regie Licanda and Jingjing Rama paced Yellow with 20 and 14 points, respectivey.
