Ready for Undas: Online “grave finder” at Manila North

/ 05:01 AM October 25, 2017

It’s that time of the year when finding a loved one’s tomb at Manila North Cemetery may not be that easy for some people heading there this All Saints Day.

For them, the cemetery administration has provided an online “grave finder” on its website –www.manilanorthcemetery.com.

Bambi Purisima, head of the city’s public information office, said the project had been in place for the last four years “but it is only this year that the glitches have finally been solved.”

Through a search box, users just need to type the name of the deceased to get the exact location of the grave within the 54-hectare public cemetery.

One of the biggest and oldest cemeteries in the country, Manila North has been a resting place both for the poorest of the poor and the rich and famous, including past presidents, famous actors, and other historic figures. –Aie Balagtas See
