OLONGAPO CITY – Authorities have rescued a 5-year-old girl from an abuser, her own father, in Zambales on Thursday.

Policemen and social workers stormed the house of the minor’s father in Barangay (village) Cawag in Subic town after they were tipped off by a concerned citizen about the alleged abuse.

The father was allegedly molesting her daughter.

“The child is apparently traumatized. She won’t talk and she looks afraid,” Cullen told the Inquirer.

According to Cullen, the child’s mother allegedly abandoned the minor.

The girl is currently in the custody of Cullen’s foundation where she is undergoing counseling.                    /kga
