3 killed in Cavite road accident

SAN PEDRO CITY-Three people were killed in a road accident in Silang town in Cavite province on Thursday evening.

Chief Inspector Lory Tarrazona, police chief of Silang, said the accident happened at 8:30 p.m. along Aguinaldo Highway in Barangay
(village) Biga 1.


According to the police, an owner-type jeep driven by Alex Rañola was negotiating the road when it hit a motorcycle that came from the
opposite lane of the highway.

All three passengers of the motorcycle – identified as Emerson Vasquez Reyes, Francis Avila and Sunny Llorico – were killed.

In a phone interview, Tarrazona said it was raining hard in the area when the accident occurred. Investigation is ongoing, he said.
