Did You Know: Oct. 5 is National Teachers’ Day

Around 19,000 students of UST attempt to enter the Guinness World Records with the formation of Longest Human Sentence, at the UST campus grounds on Friday. The students from different colleges formed “My Teacher is my Hero”, a symbolic tribute to teachers this National Teacher’s Month. INQUIRER/ MARIANNE BERMUDEZ

National Teachers’ Day is observed every fifth of October by virtue of Republic Act No. 10743 signed on Jan. 29, 2016 by then President Benigno Aquino III.

The annual program of activities to pursue the observance is lead by the Department of Education. Marielle Medina
