Two killed, two hurt in Isabela attack
CITY OF CAUAYAN, Isabela — Two farmers were killed and two of family members were wounded when two gunmen broke into their house and attacked them at dawn on Sunday.
The gunmen shot and killed 37-year-old Wilson Magday when his 13-year-old daughter Imee yelled out in panic after seeing the intruders at 12:15 a.m. in Purok 4, San Isidro village. Imee was also shot and wounded.
A couple living in an extension of the house, Sonny and Beathris Gulla, tried to help but were also shot. Sonny, 44, was killed, said Supt. Ronald Laggui, spokesman of the Isabela police office.
Beathris, 35, and Imee are being treated at a hospital.
Investigators said the assailants wore black caps and black jackets. They fled on foot.
The police have yet to determine the motive for the attack. /cbb
