Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers on Sunday due to a low pressure area, the state weather bureau said in its forecast.

The LPA will affect Central Luzon, as well as Cavite,  Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon (Calabarzon), and Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan (Mimaropa).

At 3 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) estimated the LPA at 410 km West Northwest of Coron, Palawan.

The rest of the county, meanwhile, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies apart from isolated rainshowers mostly in the afternoon or evening due to localized thunderstorms, Pagasa added. /cbb
